This is interesting for the UAL digital badge design work for DIAL, see this link about student Charlie Patterson's work with badges - http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2013/june/chelsea I like the idea of producing physical badges, could be a good collaboration?Hi Fred, really great seeing your progress and process in an info-graphic journey like this. I'm really liking all the designs you've explored, we'd need a skype chat to go through them all in depth. Loving the symbols and how these combine with shapes, also really like the transparent designs, the transparent blue cubes are nice too, could we try a cylindrical version also having related text or images on some of the surfaces?
This all really all comes together with your examples of badges pages, group pages and individual pages, these really give a great idea of how these could be presented.
All realy exciting, many thanks for your hard work on all this.
...... I came across this story today and thought the Blue plaque concept may work in terms of the idea of levels of group residents.
Wow! Looks brilliant Fred, ... will feed back once I've had time to sit down and look through all your work, next week. Thank you, great work.
WOW!...Looking good, keep up the fab work!
Finally got around to reading your post, really interesting look forward to reading more. Sounds like a big task in hand, if you haven't seen already I rate these two recordings:

Interesting work, thank you. Its good to explore OEP from the non-digital perspectives, its part of what we do as practice, take the open studios, studio crits, open exhibitions etc for example,. The DIAL project http://dial.myblog.arts.ac.uk CoP model relies on supporting the 'self identifying individuals and groups’ to meet face-to-face and to share resources, processes and support online, if we can get the two working together I think this will be ideal. If you need any support or would like to share your research with DIAL project we'd be interested in exploring non-digital practice and it s relationships with digital practice? - http://dial.myblog.arts.ac.uk/expressions-of-interest/

This workshop was very useful for anyone creating or responsible for web content. There was a good emphasis on knowing your audience and the different ways that people try to access information.
Definitely recommend this workshop for anyone responsible for a web presence of any kind!
Hi,
Below are some of the resources that were referenced during the session, I hope you find them useful. If there are any others that you wish to share with us please let us know.

Additionally I hope that you should have received an email with the presentation notes.
After you read this kid's story, you'll think twice about what you post on Facebook. (And that's the problem.)
Meet Cameron D'Ambrosio. He's 18 and lives in a small town outside Boston. He wants to be a rapper and calls himself "Cammy Dee" in his YouTube videos.
Oh, and he's been locked up without bail for weeks -- facing terrorism charges and 20 years in prison -- all for something he posted on Facebook.
On May 1st, Cam was skipping school and messing around online. He posted some lyrics that included a vague reference to the Boston Marathon Bombing and called the Whitehouse a "federal house of horror." Shortly after that he was arrested and charged with Communicating a Terrorist Threat, a felony that carries 20 years in prison.
The post contained no specific threat of violence against any person or group of people, and in the context of the rest of the lyrics and Cams' rap persona, it was clearly nothing more than a metaphor. A search of Cam's house found NO evidence that he was planning any violence, but a judge still ordered him held without bail for the next 3 months, pending trial. Read more

I attended the objective design process workshop today and wanted to tell you that I found it really helpful. I am a CSM graduate, and very much appreciate any opportunities I find now to 'fill out' my education with the kind of really useful information provided in today's workshop.
During my degree, I tried to do many of the extra workshops and participate in as many extracurricular learning activities as I could, but my priority was, rightly, my degree work and my portfolio. This meant that although there was some information available, I was often too busy to attend other courses, and not entirely sure which ones were valuable to me. For me, and I suspect for many others, it was only after I knew about reactions to my final collection that I could take stock and plan what to do next. Then I became aware of the large gaps in my knowledge with regard to IT issues (among others, for ex. business issues). I would be grateful for more learning opportunities for alumni.
I think the POI training is a useful concept, especially to someone like me who is trying to sort out a my online, and really my business identity. I would like to do any training, and the Lego sessions sounded very much like exactly the type of thing I need at this point in my fledgling career, but unfortunately I wasn't able to participate. In the event the opportunity comes up again, please sign me up!
Duplication, appropriation and innovation: exploring comic book art A major Lichtenstein retrospective is running currently at Tate, but LCF’s Steven Cook reveals that many viewers will be unaware that “many of his images were directly “appropriated” from comic artists like Irv Novick, Russ Heath, Jack Kirby, John Romita and Joe Kubert, who received no fee or credit.” Forthcoming show Image Duplicator, which has been featured in Creative Review and Design Boom, will exhibit artists who have created new interpretations of the comics Lichtenstein used as source material to explore the issues of appropriation, credit and originality in comic book art. TDP PROJECT JOURNAL : UAL ONLINE LANDSCAPE – A FIRST ATTEMPT AT MAPPING… - sounds like an interesting project, look forward to seeing more - DIAL http://dial.myblog.arts.ac.uk/about-dial/ are currently in the process of mapping the UALs 'hidden' open education landscape, during the past two years DIAL has identified many individuals practicing mostly voluntary open educational innovation across the university, see some UAL sites here - http://process.arts.ac.uk/category/discipline/research-practice/ual-blogs-websites

If you want a reminder then http://eventifier.co/event/oer13 captures some of it, the blog http://oer13.wordpress.com/ has quite a bit and the programme (see http://OER13.org ) is in the process of adding links to the recordings and to make it a (the programme) an OER resource to be reckoned with in itself.
