Clear acrylic box

Clear acrylic offers an effective and relatively simple way of exploring the idea of containment, or of separating the viewer from an object. Unlike glass, acrylic is relatively simple to cut and stick to itself, see photo… although some degree of patience and skill is required in assembly and polishing.
Thinner gauge material is relatively much simpler to use although were time and skill permits a heavier weight acrylic produces a satisfying sense of solidity and conviction.
The related theme of encapsulation or embedding is illustrated by object 25, Object 23 may be used to strengthen the cube in larger sizes or where liquids require an accurate seal or else where sheer weight might be a factor.
