Cut paper sphere
Using a sharp scalpel to cut the sphere template.
Using P.V.A to glue the two hemispheres.
Using a pattern printed onto cartridge paper, sections are carefully cut using a scalpel.
Constructing two hemispheres and joining them together proved more satisfactory and less problematic than attempting to produce a complete sphere from one sheet of paper. Creating an object in separate components to be combined later, can often help to overcome technical or production problems;see object 54.
