Exploring Online Learning and Practice a Learning Studio event at Chelsea

Please come and join us for a lunchtime informal chat with colleagues from around the University who’ll be sharing good practice in their use of innovative online learning and teaching. No need to book, just turn up anytime between 12:30 and 2:30pm and join in!


 

When:

Friday 28th March (12:30 – 2:30 pm)

Where

ROOM CHANGE now the Card Room (above the green room)

Sandwich snacks and drinks will be provided between 1 and 2pm on a first come first serve basis.

Open to all UAL staff
Informal drop-in session

What:

Informal drop-in discussion groups, discussing various topics around online learning and teaching Practice:

  • Discussion 1:

    Overview of CLTAD, Centre for Learning and Teaching in Art and Design online tools (John Jackson CLTAD Educational developer)
     
  • Discussion 2:

    Findings from the Programme Directors E-learning Report (Darren Gray from LCF)
     
  • Discussion 3:

    Managing learning materials online (David Barnett)  
     
  • Discussion 4:

    DIAL projects – Digital Integration into Arts Learning (Chris Follows, Chelsea digital and DIAL projects team)
    • Overview of the DIAL projects 2011 -2013
    • New DIAL CCW focus groups and pilot projects: 'Online Webinars and Streaming group' (Demo) and the ‘Online Learning and Practice group’ (open call for interest).
    • Gallery Collaborations, integrating and sharing workshop experience online (talk to Melanie Bowles between 1 - 2pm)

About the Learning Studio…

The Learning Studio is a community of practice around learning technology use in Art and Design within UAL. It is open to anyone to join and participate, whatever your role or current use or experience of learning technology. The approach is very informal and the event is aimed at non-expert users.
