Personal Information

Jaygo Bloom is a visual artist born in Manchester. He was awarded a first class at Glasgow School of Art in 1997 and received an MSc in Electronic Imagery at Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art & Design in 2006. Currently Jaygo divides his time between being a Design Lecturer at Norwich University Of The Arts, personal arts practice and the production of tour visuals and live video performance for Franz Ferdinand and seminal Techno Act - Planetary Assault Systems. Over the past year in support of a Paul Hamlyn award Jaygo has been collaborating with partners from Londons Voicelab Orchestra.

‘Technology pervades all processes of my art practice. Working with technology this way unavoidably affects my spiritual life and I am drawn to creating artworks which relate to this either in the notion of conceptual consequences of living in such close proximity to it or in works which make the intangible magic of its technology visible.’
